Overview
- Boston, Indiana, Chicago, and the Lakers carry the most important minute swings, with several teammates landing at +10.0 min or better in those rotation trees.
- The biggest raw boosts are Ethan Thompson at +22.0 min, Leonard Miller at +20.9 min, Kam Jones at +20.5 min, and Kobe Bufkin at +18.7 min.
- There is real downside to avoid as well. Ethan Thompson shows a separate -19.2 min branch, while Jalen Smith, Jarace Walker, Yanic Niederhauser, and Javon Small all take notable hits.

Key Pivots
Alpha Pivot
Ethan Thompson owns the top raw boost on the slate at +22.0 min tied to Aaron Nesmith P. That is a slate-shaping number on pure minutes, and Indiana also has Kam Jones at +20.5 min in the same branch.
The catch is volatility. Thompson also shows a separate -19.2 min outcome tied to Jalen Slawson D, so this is not a clean one-path value spot. He is strongest when you can react to late news rather than lock him into rigid early builds.
Secondary Pivots
- Leonard Miller is the cleanest major gainer outside Indiana. He gets +20.9 min off Anfernee Simons D, with Josh Giddey also gaining +9.6 min, while Jalen Smith drops -7.2 min.
- The Lakers have one of the deepest replacement trees. Kobe Bufkin jumps +18.7 min off Luka Doncic Q, while Nick Smith Jr. gains +12.1 min and Dalton Knecht gains +9.0 min. Rui Hachimura Q adds Jake LaRavia at +12.7 min and another +8.5 min path for Knecht.
- Boston is loaded with contingent value. Baylor Scheierman gets +15.3 min off Derrick White Q and another +9.4 min off Jaylen Brown Q, while Ron Harper Jr. spikes +16.5 min off Brown and +8.7 min off Neemias Queta Q.
- Indiana still matters beyond Thompson. Johnny Furphy gets +15.7 min off Obi Toppin Q, Jalen Slawson gains +12.6 min, and Kam Jones sits at +20.5 min in the Nesmith branch.
Value Targets
- Leonard Miller is the strongest minute-based value target for safer builds. The +20.9 min boost is tied to a Doubtful tag, which is a cleaner setup than many of the slate's biggest gains.
- Kobe Bufkin and Johnny Furphy fit better in flexible tournament builds. Their +18.7 min and +15.7 min paths are strong, but both depend on Questionable news.
- Baylor Scheierman is one of the better multi-path values on the board. Boston gives him more than one route to a meaningful workload jump, which makes him useful when building around late swap.
Deep Rotation Notes
BRK - Thin but fragile
- Tyson Etienne gets +17.9 min and Malachi Smith gets +14.5 min off Noah Clowney P.
- The raw numbers are strong, but the trigger is less stable than the Q and D tags elsewhere on the slate.
POR and UTA - Secondary value pockets
- Donovan Clingan gets a smaller +5.5 min boost off Robert Williams Q. Kris Murray is the stronger Portland piece at +10.8 min off Vit Krejci D.
- Utah has a clear split. Cody Williams gains +15.1 min and EJ Harkless gains +11.0 min off Kyle Filipowski P, while Blake Hinson loses -7.1 min.
WAS - Layered contingent plays
- Will Riley is one of the better repeat names here, gaining +10.3 min off Alexandre Sarr Q and +5.8 min off Tre Johnson Q.
- Carlton Carrington gets +12.0 min off Bilal Coulibaly Q, while Leaky Black and Julian Reese gain +7.6 min and +6.5 min off Tristan Vukcevic Q.
ATL MIA MEM LAC - Fringe and downside
- Asa Newell gets a modest +5.4 min off RayJ Dennis D, and Myron Gardner gains +7.4 min off Jaime Jaquez Jr. Q.
- Kel'el Ware loses -5.4 min in Miami, and Javon Small loses -8.6 min off Jahmai Mashack D.
- The Clippers setup is mostly avoidable from a minutes standpoint. Kobe Sanders loses -6.2 min and Yanic Niederhauser loses -8.7 min with Jordan Miller Q.
Roster Construction
- Start cash-oriented builds with the cleaner high-end minute boosts tied to Doubtful or confirmed thinner rotations. Leonard Miller at +20.9 min is the best example from this slate.
- Use Boston, Indiana, and LAL as late-swap teams in GPPs. Those three teams have the deepest trees of +10.0 min or better outcomes, but several of them are tied to Questionable or Probable tags.
- Trim exposure to players taking clear hits of -7.0 min or worse. Jalen Smith, Jarace Walker, Blake Hinson, Yanic Niederhauser, and Javon Small are the easiest minute-based fades in those branches.
