Overview
- Boston and Golden State carry the cleanest high-impact news, with multiple questionable tags creating several double-digit minute boosts.
- Indiana and Washington are more volatile rotation spots. The same players can swing sharply up or down depending on which tag clears.
- Chicago, LAL, and Miami have smaller secondary ripples, with fewer shifts that look slate defining on minutes alone.

Key Pivots
Alpha Pivot
Ron Harper Jr. owns the largest positive minute swing on the slate at +21.3 min if Sam Hauser sits. That immediately puts him at the top of the injury value board.
The BOS case is even stronger because his upside is not tied to one tag alone. Ron Harper Jr. also gains +9.5 min with Jaylen Brown questionable and +9.0 min with Neemias Queta questionable, giving him multiple paths to stay relevant.
Secondary Pivots
- L.J. Cryer +16.4 min and Gui Santos +16.1 min are the cleanest GSW boosts if Stephen Curry sits. Pat Spencer also jumps +15.3 min, but his separate -11.8 min outcome tied to Charles Bassey makes him the shakier tournament branch.
- Ethan Thompson gets +17.0 min if Ben Sheppard sits and another +10.5 min if Jarace Walker sits. The problem is IND can flip quickly, since Kobe Brown being out pushes Ethan Thompson to -17.8 min.
- Julian Reese is the strongest WAS aggregator. He gains +13.7 min with Bilal Coulibaly questionable, +10.8 min with Tre Johnson questionable, and +8.6 min with Jaden Hardy questionable.
- Jordan Walsh deserves a smaller mention in BOS builds. He gains +11.8 min off Neemias Queta and +6.6 min off Derrick White, though the Hauser scenario cuts him by -5.1 min.
Value Targets
- Ron Harper Jr. is the clearest salary saver on raw minutes. The +21.3 min Hauser path is strong enough for cash and chalky builds if BOS value opens.
- L.J. Cryer and Gui Santos are strong cap relief if Curry sits. Those direct +16.4 min and +16.1 min jumps fit straightforward builds better than thinner GPP darts tied to multiple GSW tags.
- Ethan Thompson and Julian Reese are better leverage values than blind core plays. Both have big upside paths, but Reese is cleaner across multiple WAS tags while Thompson sits inside a far more fragile IND tree.
Deep Rotation Notes
BOS - Secondary branches
- Baylor Scheierman gains +10.7 min with Derrick White out and +6.4 min with Jaylen Brown out. He also picks up +6.1 min in the Hauser scenario.
- Luka Garza shows up as a deeper BOS frontcourt pivot at +9.5 min off Hauser and +6.4 min off Queta.
- Amari Williams gets +10.1 min if Queta sits, while Payton Pritchard gains a smaller +5.4 min off Derrick White.
CHI - Lower urgency
- CHI matters less early because the biggest shifts come off probable tags. Leonard Miller gets +10.7 min with Collin Sexton probable, and Jalen Smith gets +9.8 min with Patrick Williams probable.
- Nick Richards gains +6.1 min in that Patrick Williams branch. Guerschon Yabusele loses -5.5 min if Sexton sits.
- The only clear negative from a questionable tag is Collin Sexton at -6.1 min if Isaac Okoro sits.
GSW - Thin secondary pieces
- If Charles Bassey sits, Stephen Curry gains +7.6 min. That is a useful stabilizer if Curry is active.
- Malevy Leons is a pure multi-branch flier. He gains +11.7 min with Gui Santos out, but loses -6.9 min if Bassey sits.
- Will Richard stays secondary, with +6.5 min off Curry and -6.3 min off L.J. Cryer.
IND - Fragile swing spots
- Taelon Peter and Kam Jones are highly sensitive to the Jarace Walker and Kobe Brown tags. They gain +11.0 min and +10.6 min off Walker, but lose -16.5 min and -17.8 min off Brown.
- Johnny Furphy is the reverse lever. He loses -9.4 min in the Walker scenario and gains +10.3 min in the Brown scenario.
- Jalen Slawson is the cleaner Sheppard contingency at +10.9 min.
LAL and MIA - Smaller clean boosts
- Dalton Knecht is the only LAL name with a meaningful boost at +6.4 min if Marcus Smart sits. Jarred Vanderbilt drops -5.8 min in the same branch.
- Nikola Jovic gets +8.2 min off Dru Smith. That is the cleaner MIA swap.
- Myron Gardner jumps +11.2 min if Norman Powell sits, while Tyler Herro gains +5.4 min.
WAS - Wide distribution
- Leaky Black has strong upside paths at +11.8 min with Bilal Coulibaly out and +11.6 min with Justin Champagnie out. He also carries downside at -7.5 min in the Jaden Hardy scenario.
- Will Riley is mostly a fade on these branches. He loses -9.5 min off Anthony Gill and -12.3 min off Jaden Hardy, even with a smaller +6.4 min path from Champagnie.
- Kyshawn George and Alexandre Sarr move in both directions depending on which Washington tag breaks, which makes them better left for full-news builds.
Roster Construction
- If BOS value opens through Ron Harper Jr. at +21.3 min, that is the cleanest place to save salary before digging into thinner IND or WAS punts.
- Treat GSW and IND as news-sensitive late-swap teams. The Curry branch creates clear value, while the IND tree can completely reverse players like Ethan Thompson, Taelon Peter, and Kam Jones.
- Limit exposure to the clearest minute losers at -10.0 min or worse, especially Will Riley at -12.3 min, Pat Spencer at -11.8 min in the Bassey branch, and the IND wings tied to Kobe Brown.
