Overview

  • Denver and Minnesota are carrying the slate from a raw minutes standpoint, with Jalen Pickett at +22.9 min and Terrence Shannon Jr. at +22.7 min leading the board.
  • Dallas has the deepest injury web, creating real value but also more branches that can change quickly across Tyler Smith, Dwight Powell, Caleb Martin, and the back end of the rotation.
  • Memphis, Phoenix, and Portland also bring sharp negative swings, so late news matters just as much for fades as it does for value.

Key Pivots

Alpha Pivot

Jalen Pickett owns the slate's top individual minute jump at +22.9 min if Jamal Murray sits. That is the cleanest direct value path in the pool and the easiest place to start cash-style roster construction.

Denver keeps feeding that same role across other branches. Pickett also gains +19.1 min if Nikola Jokic sits and +5.4 min if Aaron Gordon sits, so he stays central even before every tag is finalized.

Secondary Pivots

  • Terrence Shannon Jr. and Jaylen Clark are the main Minnesota beneficiaries if Julius Randle sits at +22.7 min and +21.4 min. Anthony Edwards being questionable adds another +5.6 min and +6.0 min to those same names.
  • Dwight Powell and Tyler Smith headline Dallas. Powell gains +10.3 min if P.J. Washington sits and +7.4 min if Daniel Gafford sits, while Smith picks up +11.4 min off Naji Marshall, +9.4 min off P.J. Washington, and +7.6 min off Brandon Williams.
  • Micah Peavy is the cleanest New Orleans riser. He gains +11.6 min off Saddiq Bey, +8.9 min off Herbert Jones, and +8.1 min off Karlo Matkovic, while Jordan Hawkins also pops at +9.9 min and +8.8 min.
  • Peyton Watson and DaRon Holmes are the secondary Denver tournament pieces. Watson gains +11.1 min off Aaron Gordon and +12.5 min off Nikola Jokic, while Holmes gets +12.5 min off Jamal Murray and +13.5 min off Jokic.

Value Targets

  • Jalen Pickett is the strongest pure value signal on the slate. The +22.9 min jump off Jamal Murray makes him cash viable immediately if that news breaks his way.
  • Terrence Shannon Jr. and Jaylen Clark form the other clean value core when Julius Randle sits. The overlap with Anthony Edwards keeps Minnesota strong for both cash games and balanced builds.
  • Dwight Powell or Micah Peavy fit better as GPP salary savers than foundation plays. Their best boosts are real, but they come from more layered team news.

Deep Rotation Notes

MEM - Volatile branches

  • Lucas Williamson swings from +16.7 min if Javon Small sits to -16.7 min if Walter Clayton Jr. is available, with another -9.8 min tied to the Olivier-Maxence Prosper branch.
  • Adama Bal also carries conflicting outcomes. He gains +12.0 min off Javon Small and +5.8 min off Olivier-Maxence Prosper, but loses -10.9 min if Walter Clayton Jr. plays.

PHO - One clear winner

  • Jamaree Bouyea gets the only positive Phoenix shift at +7.6 min if Jalen Green sits.
  • The rest of that branch is negative, with Oso Ighodaro at -5.3 min, Khaman Maluach at -8.2 min, and Rasheer Fleming at -9.3 min.

POR - Kris Murray depends on the tag

  • Kris Murray gains +9.5 min if Vit Krejci sits, but loses -5.5 min if Shaedon Sharpe sits.
  • Blake Wesley at -6.1 min and Sidy Cissoko at -7.2 min also move the wrong way in the Sharpe branch.

ATL CHO DET - Smaller notes

  • Asa Newell gets a modest +5.1 min from RayJ Dennis being doubtful, and Ryan Kalkbrenner picks up +5.8 min around the Coby White tag.
  • Daniss Jenkins takes a sharp -10.3 min hit if Kevin Huerter sits, which keeps Detroit out of the value pool.

Roster Construction

  • Start with the cleanest single-absence values. Jalen Pickett at +22.9 min and Terrence Shannon Jr. at +22.7 min are the strongest early cash game anchors once news confirms.
  • Treat Dallas and New Orleans as flexible mid-build pools instead of lock buttons. Dwight Powell and Micah Peavy have real paths to value, but the surrounding branches fit better in GPPs and late-swap builds.
  • Cut back on players with clear downside in returning-player scenarios. Christian Braun at -7.1 min and Lucas Williamson at -16.7 min are two of the easiest trims.
