Overview

  • Injury news is driving this slate more than matchup nuance, with DEN, BOS, DAL, ATL, and PHO showing the largest rotation swings in the data.
  • The cleanest paths are concentrated. Several single absences create +15.0 min to +21.9 min boosts, which is enough to reshape both cash builds and small-field priorities.
  • DAL and PHO are the most fragile rotation trees. Multiple overlapping statuses create real ceiling paths, but they also introduce more ways for fringe values to lose minutes.

Key Pivots

Alpha Pivot

David Roddy owns the largest single minute gain on the slate at +21.9 min if Nikola Jokic Q sits. That is the strongest raw rotation swing in the pool, and it comes with more Denver value behind it.

The rest of the DEN tree matters too. Jalen Pickett gets +19.6 min, DaRon Holmes gets +13.3 min, Peyton Watson gets +12.5 min, and Christian Braun takes a -8.4 min hit. That is the kind of concentrated redistribution that can anchor cash builds and still matter in GPPs.

Secondary Pivots

  • Sam Hauser D puts Ron Harper Jr. at +21.0 min, with Luka Garza at +9.5 and Baylor Scheierman at +5.8. Ron Harper Jr. also gains +12.8 min if Payton Pritchard sits, so BOS can create one of the tighter value paths on the slate.
  • Ochai Agbaji P is a major BRK trigger. Malachi Smith jumps +19.1 min, Jalen Wilson adds +6.6 min, while Nolan Traore, Tyson Etienne, and E.J. Liddell all lose ground.
  • IND has a high-impact branch through Ben Sheppard Q. Ethan Thompson gains +18.4 min, but that team also has Jarace Walker and Kobe Brown branches that push other fringe pieces sharply up or down, so this is better handled as a late-swap situation.
  • DAL is the broadest value hub. Naji Marshall D creates +13.2 min for Caleb Martin, +13.0 min for John Poulakidas, +11.9 min for Tyler Smith, and +11.1 min for AJ Johnson, while P.J. Washington D separately adds +10.5 min to both Tyler Smith and Dwight Powell.

Value Targets

  • David Roddy is the cleanest salary saver in the data. A +21.9 min jump off Nikola Jokic is strong enough for cash games and small-field builds if Denver news breaks that way.
  • Ron Harper Jr. is the BOS value to watch. He gets +21.0 min off Sam Hauser and +12.8 min off Payton Pritchard, which gives him one of the best pure minutes cases on the slate.
  • Jamaree Bouyea is more of a leverage value than a blind lock. He gains +11.2 min off Collin Gillespie, +12.8 min off Haywood Highsmith, +7.8 min off Jalen Green, and +7.6 min off Jordan Goodwin, but loses -9.4 min in the Mark Williams branch.

Deep Rotation Notes

ATL - Frontcourt concentration

  • Asa Newell keeps showing up in positive branches, gaining +12.6 min off Dyson Daniels, +12.3 min off Jalen Johnson, +7.5 min off Onyeka Okongwu, +6.3 min off Jonathan Kuminga, and +5.8 min off Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
  • Mouhamed Gueye is the next ATL piece with real ceiling, most notably at +13.4 min off Onyeka Okongwu and +7.5 min off Jalen Johnson.
  • Christian Koloko is more volatile. He gains +7.5 min off Jonathan Kuminga and +7.1 min off Onyeka Okongwu, but loses -8.3 min in the Nickeil Alexander-Walker branch.

DAL - Late swap priority

  • Tyler Smith is one of the biggest recurring movers on the slate, gaining +8.7 min off Brandon Williams, +6.4 min off Caleb Martin, +9.4 min off Marvin Bagley III, +11.9 min off Naji Marshall, and +10.5 min off P.J. Washington.
  • AJ Johnson also carries repeated upside, but his tree is less stable because he gains in several DAL absences and also loses -5.1 min in the Tyler Smith branch.
  • John Poulakidas is a pure volatility piece. He gains +13.0 min off Naji Marshall and +10.3 min off P.J. Washington, but he also loses -14.7 min if Moussa Cisse is the key status.

PHO - Conflicting value tree

  • Jamaree Bouyea has the widest swing profile on the team. That keeps him viable in GPPs, but only after the PHO statuses settle.
  • Rasheer Fleming flips sharply by branch, losing -6.6 min off Haywood Highsmith and -9.1 min off Jalen Green, then gaining +11.8 min off Jordan Goodwin and +7.6 min off Mark Williams.
  • Khaman Maluach follows a similar pattern, with -8.6 min off Haywood Highsmith and -8.0 min off Jalen Green, but +9.0 min off Jordan Goodwin and +8.4 min off Mark Williams.

LAL - Cleaner contingent boosts

  • Kobe Bufkin gets +13.5 min off Jaxson Hayes and another +7.7 min off LeBron James. That puts him firmly in play if LAL news breaks short.
  • Dalton Knecht is the split outcome. He loses -5.8 min off Jaxson Hayes but gains +11.9 min off LeBron James.
  • Drew Timme only shows up in the LeBron branch, but +7.8 min is enough to keep him on the fringe value list.

MEM - Smaller but real openings

  • Lucas Williamson gets +18.2 min and Adama Bal gets +14.8 min off Javon Small. That is a strong two-player concentration if MEM news changes there.
  • Olivier-Maxence Prosper creates a second MEM branch, boosting Jahmai Mashack +9.9 min and Adama Bal +9.5 min while cutting Dariq Whitehead -8.8 min and Javon Small -9.5 min.
  • Toby Okani at +9.2 min off Walter Clayton Jr. is thinner, but still usable as a deep-pool note.

Roster Construction

  • If Nikola Jokic sits, start builds with David Roddy and Jalen Pickett as the first Denver pieces, then decide whether to add DaRon Holmes or Peyton Watson based on contest size.
  • Treat DAL and PHO as late-swap pools. Their value branches overlap enough that players like Tyler Smith, AJ Johnson, Jamaree Bouyea, Rasheer Fleming, and Khaman Maluach can move from core interest to thin plays quickly.
  • Be willing to underweight the clearest negative-minute hits. Christian Braun at -8.4 min, Chaz Lanier at -13.5 min, John Poulakidas at -14.7 min, Kam Jones at -16.8 min, and Taelon Peter at -17.4 min are all clear trims when those specific scenarios land.
