Overview

  • Injury conditional minutes are extremely swingy today, with multiple teams posting +15 to +25 min outcomes tied to single tags.
  • Washington, Dallas, and Orlando stand out as the primary value engines, while several teams also show sharp negative trims that matter for trims and fades.
  • A heavy mix of Questionable and Doubtful statuses makes late swap and contingency builds more valuable than usual.

Key Pivots

Alpha Pivot

AJ Johnson is the clear slate breaker on minutes: +24.5 min tied to Marvin Bagley III Q, and also +22.5 min tied to Bilal Coulibaly Q. That is a rare minutes ceiling for a likely low baseline role, and it immediately changes how many expensive pieces you can comfortably fit.

This is the type of value that can become cash viable if it projects cleanly, but it is also the kind of piece that can turn into over-owned chalk quickly because the minutes signal is so loud.

Secondary Pivots

  • Dallas has a direct path to Ryan Nembhard as a priority: +20.3 min if Miles Kelly Q flips the rotation, plus another +8.3 min if P.J. Washington Q sits, with a smaller +7.3 min if Moussa Cisse Q is out.
  • Orlando is a condensed value engine if the tags fall: Jase Richardson jumps +15.3 min with Goga Bitadze Q and +16.2 min with Tristan Da Silva Q, while Noah Penda is +16.5 min with Bitadze and +8.7 min with Da Silva.
  • New Orleans creates immediate wing minutes if Jordan Poole Q is out, led by Bryce McGowens at +16.4 min, with multiple secondary +10-ish minute boosts behind him.
  • Detroit shows a clean primary bump: Jaden Ivey is +14.7 min if Caris LeVert Q sits, with Marcus Sasser also live at +10.0 min.

Value Targets

  • AJ Johnson is the top salary relief candidate on the slate on pure minutes (+24.5 min) and fits both cash builds and chalky GPP constructions if the Washington tags break that way.
  • Ryan Nembhard is the most important Dallas value lever, but it is multi-tag dependent. He plays better as a late swap pivot tree than a blind lock because his +20.3 min outcome is tied to Miles Kelly Q.
  • Orlando punt combos (Jase Richardson +15.3 to +16.2 min, Noah Penda +16.5 min) are strong for GPP roster flexibility, but be ready to choose the correct piece based on which specific Orlando player(s) are ruled out.

Deep Rotation Notes

WAS - Secondary beneficiaries

  • Tristan Vukcevic is +10.6 to +10.7 min across the Coulibaly and Bagley tags, giving Washington a second value lane beyond AJ Johnson.
  • Jamir Watkins splits: +8.9 min with Coulibaly Q but -5.9 min with Bagley Q, so treat him as status-sensitive and not a one-click value.

DAL - Fades and fragile minutes

  • Moussa Cisse has a severe downside (-16.9 min) in the Miles Kelly Q branch and also -7.1 min under Dwight Powell Q. That is real risk for builds that need stable minutes.
  • D'Angelo Russell trends up in multiple Dallas branches (+13.5 min with Brandon Williams Q, +7.2 min with Powell Q), making him one of the cleaner Dallas beneficiaries if those tags hit.

ORL - Which pieces lose

  • Anthony Black is the clearest Orlando loser at -6.5 min in the Goga Bitadze Q branch.
  • Jett Howard picks up +6.8 min with Bitadze Q and another +5.1 min with Jonathan Isaac Q, keeping him in the deeper-value conversation when Orlando is shorthanded.

PHI - Conflicting signals to respect

  • Jared McCain swings hard: -6.5 min with Joel Embiid P and also -6.5 min with Dominick Barlow Q, but +10.8 min if Quentin Grimes Q sits.
  • Dominick Barlow is a major negative with Embiid in this sim (-13.1 min), and also -7.2 min if Grimes sits, so avoid treating him as stable value.

CHO - Multiple probable tags, mixed outcomes

  • With Collin Sexton P, KJ Simpson (+12.6 min) and Tre Mann (+8.6 min) lead, while Antonio Reeves (-9.0 min) takes the biggest hit.
  • With Josh Green P, Liam McNeeley (+9.1 min) and Moussa Diabate (+8.2 min) pop, with additional boosts to Tre Mann (+7.7 min) and Drew Peterson (+7.3 min).

IND - Strong bumps, but also clear trims

  • If T.J. McConnell Q sits, there are multiple mid-tier minute winners: Ethan Thompson (+12.2 min), Jarace Walker (+11.8 min), and James Wiseman (+11.4 min).
  • Garrison Mathews is -13.9 min in that same branch, making him one of the sharper IND fades if you are playing the McConnell-out assumption.

DEN - Concentrated boosts and big bench cuts

  • Julian Strawther is the standout: +13.2 min with Jonas Valanciunas P, plus +6.1 min with Peyton Watson P.
  • Spencer Jones gets hit hard (-15.9 min with Valanciunas, -8.9 min with Watson), which is enough to remove him from most player pools in those branches.

LAL - Clear minutes creation

  • If Austin Reaves Q sits, Bronny James is +14.5 min and Dalton Knecht is +11.2 min, with additional boosts to Nick Smith Jr. (+9.6 min) and Jake LaRavia (+9.1 min).
  • This is a classic "replace missing perimeter minutes" tree, so it is best used as a late swap value module.

SAC - One big loser to note

  • Nique Clifford is a sharp negative in two branches: -11.6 min with Devin Carter D and -13.6 min with Doug McDermott Q.
  • Drew Eubanks (+8.0 min) is the clearest SAC minutes winner if McDermott Q sits.

Roster Construction

  • If Washington value opens, prioritize AJ Johnson (+24.5 min) as your primary enabler, then use the salary relief to reach a higher raw-point build rather than over-filling with fragile punts.
  • Treat Dallas and Orlando as late swap trees: Ryan Nembhard (+20.3 min) and Jase Richardson (+15.3 to +16.2 min) are high-upside outcomes, but they are tag-specific, so build with clean pivots ready.
  • Trim or fade the biggest negative minute losers when playing those branches, especially Moussa Cisse (-16.9 min), Spencer Jones (-15.9 min), and Garrison Mathews (-13.9 min).
